Role Overview:
You’ll be responsible for creating efficient processes, managing team communication, and continually improving key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance operational efficiency.
You will be responsible for overseeing two maintenance crews, two construction crews, and one irrigation technician, all while managing a variety of tasks that keep our business running smoothly.
This role will need to be a “Player Coach”. Someone who can perform the day-to-day data entry, while creating the systems and processes that we will use in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Management: Oversee and coordinate the daily dispatch of crews to various job sites.
Employee Communication: Handle day-to-day phone calls from employees, addressing concerns, and providing guidance as needed.
Schedule Management: Plan, adjust, and optimize the daily and weekly schedules for all crews.
Job Costing and Project Management: Monitor job costs, manage project budgets, and ensure accurate receipt tracking.
Employee Check-Out: Conduct end-of-day check-out procedures with employees, ensuring compliance with schedules and tasks.
Overtime Management: Track and manage employee overtime, ensuring adherence to company policies.
Work Prioritization: Prioritize tasks and assignments based on urgency and customer needs.
Customer Relations: Manage the inflow of work requests from existing customers and address any issues raised by employees or customers.
Issue Resolution: Work closely with employees to resolve any customer-related issues promptly and professionally.
KPI Development and Management: Create, monitor, and continually improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and improve team performance.
Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance: Manage and ensure the proper maintenance and servicing of all company vehicles and equipment to minimize downtime and extend their operational lifespan.
Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory levels of tools, materials, and supplies, ensuring crews have the necessary resources to complete jobs efficiently.
Requirements:
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the landscaping or construction industry.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
Proficiency in using scheduling and project management software.
Ability to work 6 AM to 4 PM PST, Monday through Friday.
