Role Overview:

We are looking for an Install Foreman for our growing landscaping company. This is a critical role and will not be a 40 hour a week job.

You will lead team members, train them on proper work methods, and oversee their work to ensure that it's in line with the goals and objectives of the property.

Job costing every job to ensure profitability is a key part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification. Not all duties assigned to every position are included, nor is it expected that all positions will be assigned every duty.

Interacts with homeowners, crews, and managers.
Creating a schedule for each job/project.
Managing all costs related to the schedule, from ordering materials to controlling the hours (and overtime) of the crew.
Installation of irrigation systems, repair, installation, to include valves, timers, and backflows.
Installation and repair of low voltage lighting systems to include wiring and timer set up.
Planting – installation of plants, proper depth, placement, and handling, also includes staking and set up of trees.
Installation of artificial turf systems to include base, compaction, proper fit, and infill application.
Grading, trenching, shoveling, proper handling of the wheelbarrow, and hand tools.
Installation of weed block and rock.
Installation of concrete pavers to include base, prep, sand, and border, along with being able to use a level and string line effectively.
Keeping the job site clean and orderly at all times.
Responsible for making sure that the customer is satisfied.
Maintain a clean truck and keep tool inventory complete on each truck.

Requirements:

Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred)
Drivers License
Authorized to work in the United States
Effectively be able to communicate with homeowners, landscape vendors, office staff and others, as needed.
Must be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and flexible and be able to prioritize.
Capability of reading and interpreting street maps, design plans and work orders.

Work Hours:

Full Time (PST), Monday to Friday

Compensation:

$45,000+ salary & project dependent bonus

Bonus pay is structured as:

0.25% of the revenue of the job if it is profitable between 20-24.9%

0.50% of the revenue of the job if it is profitable between 25-29.9%

0.75% of the revenue of the job if it is profitable between 30-34.9%

1.00% of the revenue of the job if it is profitable above 35%

Project management: 2 years (Preferred)

Managing a crew: 5 years (Required)

Installing paver: 5 years (Required)

Managing profitability of jobs: 2 years (Preferred)

Physical Demands and Responsibilities:

Lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete job tasks

Lift 60 pounds of weight frequently throughout the work day

Be able to make use of a wheelbarrow to move landscape materials daily

Be comfortable using a pick and shovel to dig trenches and holes for planting

Be comfortable working outside, all day, year-round

Represent the company in a professional and enthusiastic manner by providing an exceptional level of customer service

Report to work on a daily and on a timely basis

Assist with projects as needed

Communicate and maintain a cooperative working relationship with all employees, customers, and subcontractors
